March 2026 Plans/ Resolution Check-In

Do you feel stuck with your New Year's resolution? It's only March! Get back at it! I have checked two things off my list so far. It's hard to believe. I have purchased a new laptop and published one book, Shadows: Red Planet (You can purchase here). Here's how everything else is coming along.

  • Marketing: I continue to fine-tune my marketing system. I find that drafting and scheduling several posts at a time tends to work better for me than trying to write one up and remember to post it every week.

  • Publishing Cycle: The changes I've made a huge difference! I wasn't in a massive rush last month trying to get everything finalized in time for publishing. The changes I have integrated have made the process far less stressful than before. That being said, I still have much to fine-tune and lots to learn.

  • Publish Shadows: Red Planet and 1 other book as well as finish Stories Have Power: In my check-in last month, I had decided to not publish another book this year. However, with the progress I've made towards the third book in the Shadows series, I think it is possible that I might have it ready in time to publish in August/September. That being said, I have learned not to put too much pressure on myself to get it ready in time. It is more of a "that would be nice" kind of thing rather than a guaranteed thing. At the least, it will be published next year. I am slowly working on Stories Have Power so it can be completely released by the end of the summer.

  • Become more comfortable being vulnerable: I am definitely still uncomfortable putting up YouTube videos. However, I am becoming more comfortable with publishing my books. I am so excited about my latest book, and I think that it helps that I felt better about the state of it when it was finally released. In other words, it seemed to be more ready than the previous ones and I had more confidence in the quality of it. With that in mind, I'm still not entirely comfortable nor do I think I ever will be. Progress, however, is better than no progress and I shall continue to work on my perfectionism.

This way of going about New Years Resolutions continues to feel more doable than what I've done in the past. If you haven't already, go ahead and make your own plans for 2026. There's still plenty of time!
