It's almost Spring! Hang in there!
New Book!
My new book, Shadows: Red Planet came out in February! I ended up completely changing the cover once I got my new laptop and I cannot begin to express just how glad I am to have been able to do that. This new laptop has been extremely helpful. As for my newest book, it is a continuation of the book I first published in high school, Shadows: The Beginning. This second book in the series is more than 10 years overdue. I am somewhat glad that I waited to publish the second book because it is way better than what it was when I had written it as an 8th/9th grader. I really hope you enjoy it. Other Upcoming Publications
In order to ensure that my workload is manageable, I have decided to only publish one book this year and to finish my Stories Have Power: Origins series which I started last summer. If I am able to publish another book this year, it will be because I managed to get the third book in the Shadows series ready. Otherwise, my next book I publish will be a romance novel I am editing with a tentative release date in February 2027 followed by book three or book four of the Shadows series in August or September of 2027.
Writings in Progress
Looking back at my February update, I laugh. My time of not writing was very short lived as I came up with another idea and began writing again. I think my "break" lasted maybe two days. I find that if you are in the mood to do something, you're better off just doing it while you have the motivation. That being said, somewhere along the lines, I switched from working on that one story to going back to the Shadows series. I added, edited, and even did some formatting for book three. I'm a lot farther along than I thought I would be with book three at this point and if I get enough done, I'll definitely be ready to publish at the end of the summer/ beginning of Fall this year. However, I do like to take breaks in between rounds of editing stories to help give my brain a break. It makes each round of editing and formatting more effective. My fixation on the Shadows series took a turn on February 20th as I had a strange dream of a somewhat terrifying creature made of dull flames and a curious young girl. What initially began as a quick type up of my dream has turned into 57 pages of story (that's size 12, Garamond font, 8.5" by 11" letter paper in case you were wondering). Not only this, but I have the foundation of a map along with a few places labeled and a family tree because it makes things easier to track. I'm sure I'll add more as I write. We'll see how this one goes!
YouTube Vlog
I have finally begun to find a flow when it comes to getting videos up on my vlog on YouTube. In February, I began to post more shorts as well as long form videos and my shorts have gotten far more views than I ever expected. I hope to post more videos in general as the months go by, but most importantly, I just want to find a rhythm and routine that works for me and my busy life. Stories Have Power
In July, I started posting a Saturday morning comic. I have decided to keep this on hold until summer 2026 for now. With work, family, and my other author responsibilities it is too much to also be putting out comics as well. Follow along via the blog or social media so you don't miss out when my four unwitting stories discover that they have power and other valuable lessons.
