New Book!

My new book, Shadows: Red Planet is coming out this month on February 27th! This book will be available in paperback and eBook. You can pre-order an eBook here. Follow for more updates! Here is the book description:

Two years after the events in Shadows: The Beginning, Ashton and Eliza find out that they have an important role to play in the history of Shadows and Rays. They begin to answer the questions they and their friends have had the last few years, but new questions arise along with new enemies and allies. Amidst all this, Eliza and Ashton must lead a strange quest. Unfortunately, the secrets they harbor inside themselves threaten the quest and someone must step up to lead but who will that be?

Other Upcoming Publications

In January, I thought that I might publish one other book this year, but as of now, I do not think it is feasible. While I don't want to spend forever in the editing stage, I also don't want to make the same mistake I made in high school and publish a book too soon. I have found that there is a fine line which can be difficult to detect when it comes to determining when a book is ready for publishing. However, with the experience I have gained since high school, I feel that I am far better at it. I think there are two key aspects to determining when a book is ready. One is having a process. By having a process with how you go about things, you have a clear guide as to what comes next. The second key aspect is time. Put the work you wrote away for a while then come back to it with a fresh mind. This book I am publishing this month was written right after I wrote the first one in the series which I published in high school. I have come back to it and edited it seemingly hundreds of times and even just last year, when I was preparing it for publication, I was adding to the story because my writing skills had improved since the previous time that I edited it. In fact, I was adding and editing right up until I submitted it for my proof book which I should hopefully receive soon. However, I had far less work to do in terms of editing compared to the last book I published, Lost Ones of the Grian Order. I can see how this book is far closer to being ready compared to that book. Do I regret posting the other book when I did? No. I have to refine my skills by practice. I've sat behind a computer editing and editing away but now that I'm actually publishing my books, I see it differently. With all this in mind, I do not plan on publishing again this year. However, I have two works that I am working on and if one of them is ready before the end of the year, then I will publish. As for next year, I am hoping to have two books ready. I will definitely publish the third book in the Shadows series, but if another book is ready in time, I will plan on publishing it in February of next year. It is a romance novel, and I would like to publish it on or near Valentine's day. That being said, I want to make sure it has the right amount of time to "simmer".

Writings in Progress

I tried to take a break from writing but when I'm in the mood to write, it's hard not to. After preventing myself from writing for a few days, I got back to it. I'm currently writing a book loosely related to the contemporary romance novel I finished in December of last year. This book that I'm working on now is also a contemporary romance novel that focuses on characters who are friends with the main characters from the story I wrote in November-December. It takes place not long after that other book as well. On top of this, I have been adding to the third book of the Shadows series and editing in preparation for publishing. I read it last year and then re-read it in January. By reading it a few times before editing, I got a better grasp of what kind of work needed done to it before publishing. I feel that is becoming far more cohesive and I cannot wait to publish it next year. If that were not enough, I have a few books that I have been wanting to come back to. I frequently start a story and then take a break from it for a while when I get stuck. The break can last a few days, months, or even years. These other stories have been floating around in my head frequently and I feel they will be a great way to refresh my mind from the works I've been focused lately.

YouTube Vlog

My YouTube vlog has been like a puzzle piece that I can't quite figure out. It isn't that I don't know how to edit or film or do anything like that. I took video production classes in high school. I have some experience and even assisted in the making of a video with someone who is a professional. However, what I've come to realize is I don't know how to do all that in the time that I have, especially with a baby on the loose. What I have to do is learn to let things be imperfect. I could spend half an hour trying to get that clip edited just right but then there goes all my time to edit. I have to learn to be more efficient and determine what is most valuable in terms of filming and editing. I also need to be more concise. Judging by the length of the blog post, that is something that needs curbed all around. Regardless, I need to learn videography in the context of being a busy mom working full time as a speech-language pathologist. It is a different way of thinking and will take lots of time to adjust and refine.

Other Published Works

In November of last year, I published my newest book, Lost Ones of the Grian Order. This book is about four different characters who must navigate their relationships with each other and their various circumstances in order to find their place in their corner of the universe. This book is available in paperback and eBook.

In September of last year, I published the second edition of the first book I ever published, Shadows: The Beginning. This second edition fixes all the grammar issues from the first edition as well as expands on characters and plot. It is the prequel to the book that I have coming out this February 2026. You can purchase the second edition in paperback or eBook.

My book, Why Do I Write? is the book that helped motivate me to return to the world of publishing last year. It is a reflective autobiography exploring various lessons I have learned in my life so far. It is my hope that by telling my story, that others in similar situations as me would be encouraged. Click the link below to purchase. It is available in paperback and eBook.

Merch Store

The merch store went live in July 2025, and new merch was added in November 2025. I plan on continuing to add more merch this year as well. Checkout it out!

Stories Have Power

In July of last year, I started posting a Saturday morning comic. I have decided to keep this on hold until summer 2026 for now. With work, family, and my other author responsibilities it is too much to also be putting out comics as well. Follow along via the blog or social media so you don't miss out when my four unwitting stories discover that they have power and other valuable lessons. You can also purchase products featuring the four stories from the merch store. Be sure to follow me on social media and subscribe to email updates for more on this!
